We photographed content for Top of Georgia and the Northwest Georgia Joint Development Authority. We visited Vanguard Trailers, the Roper Corporation, Nissin Brake, Propex, landscapes, Georgia Northwest Technical College, and Georgia Winery.
Iris Project
This is a project we shot on the street in a makeshift studio Park(ing) Day, a free city event in Chattanooga. We wanted people to know no matter how they show up, they are absolutely incredible.
Shot on a Hasselblad. We printed a polaroid and handed out people’s photos. This is our third year at Park(ing) Day.
Hat Man Gary
Corey’s dad Gary has collected hats since the 1970’s. During quarantine with our new baby Caleb, we hunted down over 200 hats in the back closets and attic of Gary’s house. We found hats falling apart, covered in dust, shoved in trash bags, or carefully placed on shelves.
These hats provide an insight into who is Gary Critser. We invite you to click, read, and picture the hat man.
According to Hue
We set up this shoot in a parking spot on the street in downtown Chattanooga for Park(ing) Day. Here’s how it went down:
Put on a pair of headphones.
Sit on a stool in our makeshift street studio.
Music begins to play in the headphones.
You see dual tone colored light changing around you.
Mirrors on either side of the (kinda) hidden camera let you see yourself as you listen or sing along.

Taste Face
We set up a photoshoot in a parking spot on the street for Park(ing) Day Chattanooga 2017, hosted by River City Company. The project we deemed "Taste Face."
We had people walking by stand in a box. We handed them a piece of lemon, some pink Himalayan rock salt, or if they said they were feeling very risky, horseradish on a small cracker. We captured the moment of reaction to the harsh tastes.
We photographed 80+ people ranging in age and diversity. We wanted to highlight that same innate reaction of disgust we all have, supporting the idea that we are all connected in deep-rooted, human ways. Side note: Corey and I never got hungry on this 9am-4pm shoot, because watching people spitting out food all day is the opposite of appetizing.
I was surprised by the people who seemed to have no reaction at all to any of the foods we provided. The outliers also varied in age, gender, and race.
I guess there's no way to put everyone in a box and make them react the same way. I've learned, like yin and yang, equality and diversity go hand in hand. Seeing our similarities and differences is a beautiful thing.
